Stacey Thompson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Art Therapist, and Mother. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings over the last 10 years, utilizing art as a therapeutic modality to help clients feel better about themselves and the lives they are living. Stacey thrives on sharing art experiences with people and sees art as a language that is unique to each person. Stacey is a longtime resident of the Santa Ynez Valley and is thrilled to join the team at FCTHC where she offers Art Therapy in support of holistic healing from trauma and addiction. Her person-centered approach focuses on creating authentic relationships with clients, and creating a safe space in the group by honoring where individuals are in their healing process. As the process of art-making can be intimidating, and she strives to create a culture within the group that embraces a “no wrong art” stance, a non-judgemental and compassionate approach to art-making.
