Carlie Kraus, Bodywork
To me, bodywork is a collaborative art form in which the client and I work together to curate a massage that is unique to the needs of their mind, body, and soul. My journey to massage therapy began while working in the mental health field. I witnessed the effects that trauma can have on the body and I came to more deeply understand the connection between mind, body, and soul. I quickly realized the significance of holistic emotional healing and the value of integrating massage therapy into psychological therapy. From there, my passion for bodywork bloomed.
In my practice and at The Healing Center, I incorporate many modalities to offer a personalized flow, tailored for each client. I approach every massage with the intention to relax and repair the body while exploring and deepening the mind, body, and spirit connections. I incorporate techniques from practices including Thai Massage, Swedish, Connective Tissue, Polarity (energy work), Neuromuscular Therapy, Lomi Lomi, and Craniosacral. I am a trauma-informed massage therapist and prioritize creating an intentional and safe space for everyone.
