Mitchi Dragonette, AMFT

Mitchi Dragonette (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She brings a compassionate, trauma-informed, person-centered approach to her work in supporting clients in their healing journey. Before working with the Family Counseling and Trauma Healing Center, Mitchi worked as a therapist with the Community Counseling Center in San Luis Obispo where she served individuals, couples, and children. She has specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health and has provided services for individuals, couples, and families in this area. She is bilingual and has experience working with monolingual Spanish-speaking clients. Mitchi also worked at the SLO Counseling Center on the Cal Poly campus where she supported students struggling with anxiety, depression, and adjustment to campus life. Additionally, Mitchi has experience as an in-school therapist.  Using a mindfulness-based approach, she helps clients learn to self-regulate, communicate their needs, and improve adaptive coping skills in a classroom setting.
