Clients who participate in a customized healing program may benefit from trauma-informed bodywork. Clients often ask if bodywork is the same as massage. It can be, but for most of our clients the experience is deeper. Massage is usually associated with addressing a certain area of the body that is uncomfortable or has pain. It is primarily used for relaxation and evokes a general sense of well-being or self-care. Clients may experience various types of bodywork, usually after the therapy sessions to help somatically move, or release, the trauma through their physical being.
Reiki is an alternative to bodywork. Our physical body holds the memories of our past experiences and so does our subtle physical body of energy. Energy treatments target this area. Bringing a method of healing to the subtle spaces within a human being because the health of a person depends on the unblocked circulation of energy.
Through the various bodywork options, clients often report not just a physical release, but often an emotional release as well.

The Trauma Healing Center in the healing district of Solvang. We are easily accessible from any part of Santa Barbara County. With several choices for lunch within easy walking distance for our clients, they don’t have to get in their vehicle and drive on their lunch breaks. Our location is removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Solvang and offers ample parking.
