Caregiver Burnout Santa Ynez Valley
Providing care for someone who is unable to care for themselves is a demanding job. In most cases, care is provided to a friend or family member, someone that you share an emotional bond with. Caregivers often find themselves exhausted emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Long-term caregivers may reach a state known as “burnout” if they don’t have enough support and awareness to take care of themselves surrounding their situation and their responsibilities around the person that they are providing care to. Caregivers who are approaching burnout have difficulty distinguishing when they are financially and/or physically doing more than they are able.
The Healing Center can provide additional support to caregivers who are experiencing burnout. Meditation, art therapy, yoga therapy, acupuncture, life balancing and acupuncture are all components that can provide therapeutic soul tending when you need it most.
